Overheard.....

I was explaining socratic discussions to our 11 year old, telling her that this type of discussion is named after someone who lived a long time ago (socrates) and the way in which he asked questions of his students to help them think through their answers. She quipped, "We'll be having Pamatic discussions I guess!"

5 year old C, who will be 6 in 3 weeks, "I'm 5 and 3 quarters and 12 pennies!"
