One more sample - I think this is it!

On the right are the two red samples I painted in the family room, and on the left are the two brown/tan colors I painted in the kitchen. Of the two brown samples, the lighter one on the right is new today. It is called "Canoe", and I really love it! I think this is the one! Going to live with it for another day and make sure, but I'm almost positive this is the one. I painted a little bit of the red I like on the wall right around the corner from the "Canoe" color (you can't see it in this picture) and they go together super well! So relieved that this decision has been (almost) made!

  1. In this photo, I like the red on the left better but then, when I looked at the photo with the fabric, I like the one you like more. Also, the Canoe color is perfect I think. What brand is that? It may be making an appearance in a house of mine sometime next year. ;-)

  2. All paints are Sherwin Williams brand. Sally convinced me to give them a try. Their paints cost more per gallon but she thinks they are superior and go on smoother, so we'll give them a try. I do love the Canoe color!

    Are you home now?

  3. I'm home now! But we have events every night! :-( Of course, one of those is the Texans game on Saturday night, so I shouldn't be too sad. A friend had pity on my travails while traveling and is taking me to cheer me up. ;-)

I've heard great things about Sherwin Williams. Sometimes, you do get what you pay for. I did see an ad last night for some door and trim paint by Glidden that Home Depot has. It was appealing too. Not sure how well it would work, however but it was thick!

  4. I really like the canoe with the darker red. Which red did you decide on?

  5. Marsha, the truer red, not the orange-y one. I'm painting some of the Canoe color right next to my cabinets today just to be sure, but about 99% decided!

  7. With the fabric, I really like the one on the right. I love the canoe color too and think that the two colors go really really well together! You won't believe how warm and inviting it will feel when both rooms are done! It's going to be BEAUTIFUL!!! Can you post a pic of your fireplace again? I think I remember it dark brown which will be gorgeous with these colors too! Keeping the brown trim? Hope so! I'm definitely coming over soon to see all of the finished rooms! :)
