Sweet time with friends!

Little Man got to spend a week with his "brother from another mother," and I got to spend a day and a half this "brother's" parents!  We spent a fun afternoon at a park, playing with their dog,

biking, creek walking,

and fishing in a catch and release pond!

Andrew's friend caught two and Andrew caught this beautiful little fish.

Releasing it was kindof gross, and kindof cool all at the same time.

We are thankful for lifelong friendships!

Farewell Bonfire to Daughter G

Well, the end of summer inevitably came, and it was time to take daughter G to college.  The weekend before, a bunch of her friends came over for a game night and a farewell bonfire.  I love her friends!

They got the Jenga tower about 34 levels tall, if I am remembering correctly.  Apparently the record is 37.

They roasted marshmallows and made s'mores.

And played games and talked and laughed, and talked and laughed!

So thankful for the friends God has given to our girl.

My Weekend of Summer

See my toes?  Ignore the old nail polish and just notice where they are.....see the sand?  Glorious, warm sand.

Yes, we went to the beach for a weekend and it was exactly what summer is supposed to feel like.

No cares.  No responsibilities.  No worries.

The water was warm and felt soooo good!  I didn't want to get out!

Many thanks to our dear friends for giving us such a relaxing weekend away.

Fun with Friends

We recently enjoyed a wonderful evening with our dear friends....lots of music, and the first really good workout for our drum set.

12 drummers drumming! Okay, not 12, but one really good drummer. :)

This little guy idolizes our son C's piano playing ability. It was pretty fun to watch him watching son C play!

Field Trip!

 To the corn maze!  With two other families and former fellow co-op'ers.

We divided up into three groups to do the corn maze.  The girls' team came in first!

Boys' team was second.

And the mom's team was..... third.

We were still happy though!  It was a beautiful day to be outside, and we really enjoyed being together and catching up on each other's lives.
