We have another driver in the house!

Congratulations, son G!

(first solo drive!!!!)

Happy 14th Birthday to Son C!

C, we are proud of you for making wise choices in your friendships.  The people you surround yourself with are so important.  You have great friends (even more than are pictured here!) and we are so thankful for that.

Your "hang out time" with some of your friends on your birthday looked so fun!  It made our hearts happy to see you having a good time.

Even though it was over 90 degrees, you guys didn't seem to mind having a fire for s'mores. :)

In the last year you have shown a consistent interest in and commitment to personal fitness, so we know you are going to enjoy your new fitbit!

You have always brought us so much joy.  May you continue to grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man.  We love you!

Another Home School Graduation

I can't believe it has been a year since our oldest graduated.  As the graduation coordinator of our home school co-op, I was once again in charge of planning and executing the graduation ceremony, but it was easier and less emotional since I did not have a child participating in it.  We had 9 seniors in the ceremony, and four of them have been students of mine in the English class I teach, so there were definitely a few tears as I celebrated with them.

It was a wonderful ceremony and reception, and I am glad to gift our co-op with my time and talents in this way.

Next year our family will have TWO seniors graduating.....oh my!

We have pool!

After not setting up our pool last year, we were determined (and Little Man was excited) to set it up this year.  From sand base....

...to adjusting the brick supports....

...to playing and relaxing in it, we are grateful for our pool!

Homeschool Prom ~ 2016

Nothing signals the arrival of spring and the end of the school year quite like prom!

Last year we had four high schoolers attend our homeschool prom, and this year only two, since one daughter has graduated and the other is no longer being homeschooled.  It felt small, but still wonderful.  Here are our handsome boys:

Neither of them chose to ask a date to prom, but they have several good friends who are girls, and a bunch of them just went as one big group.  So thankful for these friends!

More friends....

Me and my boys.  How I love them!
