We had a great weekend celebrating the 233rd birthday of our country! We were invited to the home of a couple from our Sunday School class for the 4th of July, and it was really nice to spend time with them and to be invited for dinner at someone's home (large families don't often get invited over for dinner ~ at least ours doesn't!). They have no children at home, so we took our own toys and our children had fun playing with each other and with daddy and with Mr. Tom. They played soccer on their knees (until daddy had to stop!), croquet, and later in the evening we played "Go Fish" inside. It was a lovely evening!
This was our red, white and blue fruit salad on Sunday evening.
After dinner we went to another friends' home and sat in their front yard and watched fireworks together. Awesome!!
Those are great fireworks pictures. Glad y'all had the invite and fun. C who just moved from Texas used to call me and just say she was bringing all the kids over and to have dinner ready! LOL DH would walk into a perfectly quiet house as the kids played so well and so quietly! Well except for C who would play our piano! Blessings, Laurie
We were created emotionally to love, to connect, to have passion. We were created mentally for purpose. We were created spiritually for relationship.
Considering Homeschooling? Wondering where to begin?

I am a happy wife and christian homeschooling mother of 5 children, ages 12, 10, 9, 7, and 4. We recently completed a 9 month journey of unemployment, during which time we saw God's faithfulness over and over again, and learned many valuable lessons. On August 31 of this year my husband started a new job. When I am not taking care of my family or teaching my children you can find me reading, gardening, baking, or watching movies with my husband. Jesus Christ is the love of my life and my chief aim is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever!
