Son C

Son C is about to turn nine and just yesterday completed third grade! He had a really good year, learning to be a bit more independent in his work, gaining new math skills, and mastering cursive handwriting.

He has just recently started taking piano lessons, and LOVES it! He may still be in the "honeymoon" phase, but he practices enthusiastically every day with no reminders from me. He frequently makes up songs of his own, and just seems to really love it.

Something else 'new' to C this spring was a new bike! It was his turn to get a brand new one from the store (a first for him). He also picked out a new helmet. This was uber-exciting!

He currently wants to be an inventor when he grows up. He loves to draw sketches of potential things to build. He also loves all tools and working with his hands. He ponders a lot of things, and is becoming a deep thinker. He still has a sweet, sweet spirit and is a joy to my heart!

That's wonderful! I"m considering adding our 7 year old to the piano mix - my 2 older girls have taken for 2 and 3 years each and both enjoy playing a lot! I have one that likes to compose a lot on her own too! Yay on the cool new bike!
