I actually tidied up the countertop a bit before taking this picture, how pathetic is that??!

Hey! That looks like my house! *Ü* especially the table! Always filled with school stuff!
Lisawa~
Looks "lived in" to me! If you need to feel better, I can post more photos of my house on my blog! :)
I think your house looks great; lived in, played in, full of happy kids. It looks full of activity but not full of clutter or dirt. I always remind myself, as I'm tripping over toys and picking up the 100th crayon off of the floor, that one day I will miss these days. Though I doubt I will miss the crayons!
Well, fortunately the pics don't really show my floors. They are actually dirty. I clean them really good every weekend, but by about Tuesday there are all kinds of crumbs and sand/dirt along the edges by the walls. That is a kind of a hot button for me. It depresses me to see how quickly dirt accumulates on the floors again. I do have the children sweep, etc, but they don't do well on the edges and under furniture, so.....the dirt remains until I remove it myself.
I would be such a happy woman if my floors were clean all the time!
Lona, whatever you can do to make me feel better would be greatly appreciated!! ;-)
I used to feel the same way about floors but then we bought the swiffer vac which is a lightweight electric sweeper that is easy for all of us (even Addy) to use. It works great on the edges of the floor and under the cabinets, table, etc. Maybe that could be my Christmas present to you if you don't already have one. It really is wonderful and has made such a happy difference in our home.
Targetshopper, that swiffer vac sounds wonderful! Maybe that would make a happy difference in our home too. We have a really good broom (I do mean good) and a swiffer, but not the swiffer vac. Thank you for that suggestion!
